ARC Business Solutions is seeking a Technology Solutions Consultant to join our growing team based out of our Rutland, Vermont office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career technology professional interested in building a career that combines business development, client relationships, technology, and consulting.

The primary focus of this role is to help grow ARC’s presence in Vermont by developing relationships within the local business and technology community, identifying new business opportunities, and connecting prospective clients with ARC’s technology solutions and consulting services.

The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and exposure to different areas of ARC’s business, working alongside experienced team members to develop a strong understanding of our clients, services, and technology solutions. In addition to business development activities, the individual will contribute to client projects and billable work based on their technical skills and experience.

ROLE:  Technology Solutions Consultant

Responsibilities: 
  • Build and maintain relationships within Vermont’s business and technology communities.
  • Identify and help develop new business opportunities throughout Vermont and surrounding states.
  • Leverage local knowledge, relationships, and community connections to help identify prospective clients and opportunities.
  • Represent ARC at networking, business, technology, and community events.
  • Support prospective client meetings, presentations, proposals, and follow-up activities.
  • Work with ARC leadership, sales, and account management teams to develop and pursue new opportunities.
  • Help strengthen ARC’s brand awareness and presence within the Vermont market.
  • Participate in IT consulting and client projects based on business needs, technical skills, and experience.
  • Work alongside ARC consultants and project teams to support project delivery and gain exposure to different areas of ARC’s business.
  • Provide technical, business, and project support as required.
  • Potentially contribute to existing Vermont client engagements and initiatives.
  • Focus on billable client work when not actively engaged in business development, training, or other assigned responsibilities.
  • Provide occasional general office support as needed, including handling mail and deliveries, running business-related errands, and assisting with basic day-to-day office needs.
  
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a technology or business-technology related program, such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology Management, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. A Business degree with a strong technology or information systems component may also be considered.
  • 0–5 years of relevant professional experience in technology, consulting, business development, sales, client services, or a related environment. Recent graduates with relevant education, internships, co-op experience, or demonstrated technical and business skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Foundational technical skills and an interest in developing the knowledge required to contribute to client-facing and billable project work.
  • An interest in business development, networking, and building professional relationships.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable meeting new people, developing relationships, and representing ARC at external events.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, curious, and willing to take initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities.
  • An interest in learning new technologies and understanding how technology can solve business challenges.
  • Willingness to learn ARC’s business through hands-on training and by working alongside team members across different functional areas.
  • Ability to work regularly from ARC’s Rutland, Vermont office and travel throughout Vermont and surrounding states as required.
  • Knowledge of Vermont’s business community and existing local professional or community connections would be considered a strong asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in the United States.
